授業の概要 /Summary of the class |
This class aims to promote intercultural understanding. Because of globalisation, we need to step beyond our own culture and function with people from linguistically and culturally diverse backgrounds. To avoid misunderstandings and conflict, it is important to build common foundations among people with different cultures, which includes knowledge on how they can differ as well as tolerance and appreciation of difference. We will explore differences that may cause misunderstanding between Japanese people and people from other parts of the world. |
