授業としての具体的到達目標 ／Concrete arrival target as the class	特にReadingとWritingを中心として，言語コミュニケーション実習IBよりも高度な実践的な運用能力を身につけること 標準的な難易度の英文を正しく読解し，ある程度複雑な考えを英語で表現できること
授業の概要 ／Summary of the class	週２コマの授業を行います。テキストにしたがって、英文の全般的な読解力、ボキャブラリー、自分の考えを正しい英語で表現するための文法知識や作文能力を高める授業を行います。

成績評価方法及び採点基準 ／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	平常点（授業参加等）：20% 課題/提出物：40% 中間試験と期末試験：40% 上記を合算して成績評価を行います。 語学の授業ですので、全体の授業回数の2/3以上の出席が必要となります。
予習及び復習等の内容 ／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	[予習] 宿題として毎回指定された問題をやって授業に臨むことが求められます。 [復習] 毎回の単語や文法事項の復習をすることが必要となります。 特に各ユニット最後のwritingの課題は提出を忘れないでください。
教材・教科書 ／The teaching materials, textbook	_Pathways: Reading, Writing, and Critical Thinking, Level 2_, 2nd ed. (National Geographic Learning)
参考文献 ／bibliography	授業時に適宜紹介します。
留意点・予備知識 ／Point to keep in mind, back ground	履修には原則的に言語コミュニケーション実習IB（英語）の修得が必要となります。
