授業の概要 ／Summary of the class	This course explores the world of Japanese picturebooks. It harnesses picturebook theory to examine how picturebooks convey meaning. It then traces the evolution of picturebooks in Japan and examines predominant themes which recur in widely-read works created by contemporary Japanese picturebook makers. ○日本の絵本から日本文化を学びます。 ○絵本論を活用し絵本の日本での展開をたどり、今日広く読まれている作品の主たるテーマを検証します。

成績評価方法及び採点基準 ／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	Evaluation will be based on written work（100％）. 評価はレポート（100％）に基づいて行なわれます。
予習及び復習等の内容 ／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	Students will read to prepare for classes. They will be required to reflect on the content of classes in order to complete their written work. 予習：作品を熟読して授業に参加します。復習：授業の内容を振り返り、レポートを書きます。
