成績評価方法及び採点基準 ／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	1. 外部試験の結果：20% 2. Participation（Class activities）：　20% 3. Examination/Presentation/Paper/Project：　40% 4. Assignments/Self-study：　20% 上記を合算して，最終的な成績評価を行います。 ※旧カリキュラムの読み替えとして履修している学生については，外部試験の結果を除いた評価方法（期末試験等）により100 点満点で評価します。
予習及び復習等の内容 ／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	Each week you will be required to read a set of transcripts + watch corresponding videos and respond to a set of discussion questions based on them in your small groups. At the end of each section, each group will do a group presentation that summarizes their discussions. You will also be required to maintain a self-reflective online journal throughout the term. There are 4 quizzes based on the videos You will also be required to complete a presentation.

授業形態・授業方法 ／Class form, class method	In this class students will watch videos and discuss in small groups a variety of global topics ranging from language, culture, GMO, biomimetics and protecting the environment. In addition, we will focus on connecting the videos to the local world around us through writing activities and a presentation.
