授業としての具体的到達目標／Concrete arrival target as the class	○英文法とパラフラフやエッセイの構成法を理解できるようになること ○目的に応じて適切な英語を使って，身近な出来事や意見，考えなどについて，分かりやすく書くことができるようになること
授業の概要／Summary of the class	○中核となるライティングを他の3技能（リスニング，リーディング，スピーキング）と組み合わせながら学び，総合的な英語力の基礎を身につける。 ○様々な文化的背景を持つ人々と平明な英語で伝え合うという，国際共通語としての英語を意識して使えるようになる。

成績評価方法及び採点基準／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	1. 外部試験の結果：20% 2. Participation（Class activities）：20　% 3. Examination/Presentation/Paper/Project：30　% 4. Assignments/Self-study：30　% 上記を合算して，最終的な成績評価を行います。 ※旧カリキュラムの読み替えとして履修している学生については，外部試験の結果を除いた評価方法（期末試験等）により100 点満点で評価します。
予習及び復習等の内容／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	Students will be expected to prepare themes on which to write prior to class and write as a review of class activities outside of class on the themes and organizational strategies that are studied in the class. These will be reviewed each week by the instructor.
