授業としての具体的到達目標 ／Concrete arrival target as the class	The objective of this course is to develop student communication ability, specifically in a four-skills view and under conditions of immediacy and interaction. （見通す力、学び続ける力）
授業の概要 ／Summary of the class	The course consists of various input and output communicative activities based on textbook content and in-class materials that force the student to produce meaningful and communicative language.

These are developed both by the professor and by the students so as to foster interest and four skills communication. 成績評価方法及び採点基準 ／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	Grades will be based on attendance together with in-class pair and group work based on the content of the textbook. Students will be asked to prepare for and review each class by completing the textbook exercises on an ongoing basis. Attendance and Participation: 30% Class Preparation and Review (weekly): 30% Tests and Quizzes: 40%
予習及び復習等の内容 ／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	Students have to prepare content for the class. This includes preparation related to textbook contents as well as content for speaking.
教材・教科書 ／The teaching materials, textbook	Communication Upgrade: Extended Reading Aloud (Anthony Rausch; DTP Publishing) plus Materials that are introduced and developed in class.
