授業としての具体的到達目標 /Concrete arrival target as the class |
〇Understand the basic organic chemical reactions, such as substitution, elimination, and addition reactions. (acquiring the ability to solve) 〇Understand that many of the above reactions are important in discussing life phenomena (acquiring the ability to see through). |
授業の概要 /Summary of the class |
Most biological materials are comprised of organic compounds, and it is important to understand that each and every biological phenomenon is caused by chemical reactions. It is also important to understand that each and every phenomenon of life is caused by chemical reactions. This lecture is a necessary subject to understand them. In this course, students will learn to apply the organic chemistry learned in Basic Chemistry B to life science in an advanced manner. |

予習及び復習等の内容 /Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review |
Please read the textbook before the class. Even if you feel that you understand something during the class, there will be many parts insufficient. It is recommended that you review and study the end-of-chapter questions by your selves as early as possible to check your understanding. |

留意点・予備知識 /Point to keep in mind, back ground |
Organic chemistry is not a subject to be memorized; it is a subject to be understood. There are many end-of-chapter problems in the textbook. Be sure to solve them on your own. (If there is anything you do not understand, do not hesitate to ask questions.) This subject is indispensable in the civil service examinations. |
