授業の概要 ／Summary of the class	This course explores the world of Japanese picturebooks. It harnesses picturebook theory to examine how picture　books convey meaning. It then traces the evolution of picturebooks in Japan and examines predominant themes which recur in widely-read works created by contemporary Japanese picturebook makers. ○日本の絵本から日本文化を学びます。 ○絵本論を活用し絵本の日本での展開をたどり、今日広く読まれている作品の主たるテーマを検証します。

成績評価方法及び採点基準 ／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	Evaluation will be based on written work（100％）. 評価はレポート（100％）に基づいて行なわれます。
予習及び復習等の内容 ／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	Students will read to prepare for classes by completing assigned readings . They will be required to reflect on the  content of classes in order to complete their written work. 予習：作品を熟読して授業に参加します。復習：授業の内容を振り返り、レポートを書きます。

授業形態・授業方法 ／Class form, class method	This course will be taught in Japanese and English. Japanese students and international students are expected　 to use both languages to the best of their ability in order to communicate with each other during class 　　　　　discussions.　Classes will be held both in person and online for international students participating from　　　　 overseas. Students attending classes in person will be required to bring their laptops and earphones. 指導は日本語と英語で行います。日本人学生と留学生がディスカッションを行う際は二つの言語を用いながらコミュニケーションをはかります。授業は対面と海外にいる留学生向けにオンラインの両方で行います。対面授業の参加者にはPCとイアホンを授業に持ってきてもらいます。メディア授業に移行した場合はTeamsで行います。
