授業の概要／Summary of the class	〇　リスニング・スピーキングを中心に、リーディング・ライティング中心の授業「English Communication C」の学習内容と関連づけながら、総合的な英語力の基礎を身につける。〇　様々な文化的背景を持つ人々とコミュニケーションをとるために、国際共通語としての英語を意識して使えるようになる。〇　授業で学習したことを踏まえ、生涯にわたって主体的に学習し続ける習慣を身につける。
授業の内容予定／Contents plan of the class	Class 1 Orientation: Class explanation, get-to-know-you activities Class 2 Unit 1: Watch and Listen， Listening 1 Class 3 Unit 1: Language Development, Listening 2 Class 4 Unit 1: Critical Thinking, Speaking task Class 5 Unit 1：Presentation Class 6 Unit 2: Watch and Listen， Listening 1 Class 7 Unit 2: Language Development, Listening 2 Class 8 Unit 2: Critical Thinking, Speaking task Class 9 Unit 3: Watch and Listen， Listening 1 Class 10 Unit 3: Language Development, Listening 2 Class 11 Unit 3: Critical Thinking, Speaking task Class 12 Unit 4: Watch and Listen， Listening 1 Class 13 Unit 4: Language Development, Listening 2 Class 14 Unit 4: Critical Thinking, Speaking task Class 15 Unit 4: Final Presentation ※授業の進行状況により、シラバスと実際の内容と異なる場合には、その都度、授業内でまたはTeamsにメッセージを投稿する形で説明します。
成績評価方法及び採点基準／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	1. 外部試験の結果：20%　7月30日（土） 2. Participation（Class activities）：20% 3. Examination/Presentation/Paper/Project：40% 4. Assignments/Self-study：20% 上記を合算して，最終的な成績評価を行います。
予習及び復習等の内容／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	シラバスに記載された各回の授業の内容予定について、毎回以下のような予習と復習を行ってください。（予習，復習は最低でも各2時間以上行う必要があります）（予習）・じゃれマガhttp://catchawave.jp/jm/に登録し、その週の内容を理解し、書き取りができるように繰り返し練習する。（そこから毎回小テストを実施します）・毎回の授業で学習する教科書の各Unitを読み、理解できない語句や表現については辞書等でその意味を調べる（復習）・Discussionなど決められたテーマについてのスピーチをスラスラいえるようになるまで繰り返し練習し、録音したものをTeamsで提出する。・オンラインプラクティスを活用して授業の内容を各自で復習する。（オリエンテーションで説明します）

留意点・予備知識／Point to keep in mind, back ground	Attendance, active participation, and self-study outside classroom are very important for language learning. Therefore, keep the following in mind: 1. Students are expected to attend every class. Students must attend 2/3 of all classes in order to pass. 2. Students should not be late to class. 3. Self-study time outside of class is expected to be twice the time spend in the classroom: 180 minutes of self-study for 90 minutes of class. Study systematically.
