予習及び復習等の内容 ／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	You will be required to do the reading/watching the video prior to class. There are 3 sections in this class where students will work in groups and at the end of each section, each group will do a group presentation that summarizes their discussions. There also will be 3 pop quizzes based on the readings/videos. You will also be required to complete a final research paper.

授業形態・授業方法 ／Class form, class method	In this class students will watch videos and discuss in small groups a variety of global topics ranging from language, culture, GMO, biomimetics and protecting the environment. In addition, we will focus on connecting the videos to the local world around us through writing activities and a presentation.
