授業としての具体的到達目標 ／Concrete arrival target as the class	○English Communication A/CやEnglish Communication Bで学んだ語彙や文法・表現，パラグラフ・リーディングの知識をライティングに応用し，書き言葉の形式で英語を使ってコミュニケーションをとることができる能力を身につけること ○メールの書き方や日誌の付け方といった日常的な英文の書き方や，アカデミック・ライティングの基礎として重要なパラグラフ・リーディングの基礎を身につけること

予習及び復習等の内容 ／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	In this class, you are required to do self-study online homework, review the section of the unit before each class, and complete two writing projects during the semester.

留意点・予備知識 ／Point to keep in mind, back ground	授業に出席して積極的に活動すること、そして、授業以外でも自主的に学習することは、言語学習にとってとても大切なことです。したがって、以下のことを守りましょう。 1. 全ての授業に出席しましょう。 全体の授業回数の3分の2以上出席しなければ、成績が「不可」となります。 2. 遅刻をしないようにしましょう。 3. 授業時間以外での自主学習時間は、授業を1（90分）とすると2（180分）とされています。計画的に学習しましょう。

授業形態・授業方法 ／Class form, class method	In this class students will actively read and listen to material from the textbook and learn how to actively discuss and write about various topics. Students will also have to complete online assignments using Pathways MyELT online system. In addition, we will focus on connecting the materials in the textbook to the local world around us through the mid-term and final writing projects.
