授業の概要 ／Summary of the class	In this course we will examine the lives and works of modern Japanese authors whose writings illuminate the formation of Japanese identity. In addition to discussing assigned texts and examining related resources, we will view screen versions of selected works in order to deepen our understanding of them. ○近代の日本文学に反映されている日本人のアイデンティティの形成を考察します。 ○テキストについてのディスカッション、関連資料の解読に加え、映画を鑑賞することを通して作品への理解を深めます。

成績評価方法及び採点基準 ／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	Evaluation will be based on written work(100%). 評価はレポート（100%)に基づいて行なわれます。
予習及び復習等の内容 ／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	Preparation: Students will be required to read literary works and prepare for the discussions which will be held at each session. Review: They will be required to reflect on the content of classes in order to complete their written work. 予習：学生は作品を読み、毎回行なわれるディスカッションの準備をします。復習：コースの内容を振り返りながらレポートに取り組みます。

授業形態・授業方法 ／Class form, class method	This course will be taught in Japanese and English. Japanese students and international students are expected to use both languages to the best of their ability in order to communicate with each other during class discussions. Classes will be held both in person and online for international students participating from overseas. Students attending classes in person will be required to bring their laptops and earphones. 指導は日本語と英語で行います。日本人学生と留学生がディスカッションを行う際は二つの言語を用いながらコミュニケーションをはかります。授業は対面と海外にいる留学生向けにオンラインの両方で行います。対面授業の参加者にはPCとイアホンを授業に持ってきてもらいます。メディア授業に移行した場合はTeamsで行います。
