授業の概要 ／Summary of the class	This course introduces the aesthetics of Japanese tea ceremony and the room in which it takes place. We will       watch portrayals of tea ceremony on screen and visit a tearoom to gain a basic understanding of this art before learning in more detail about the matcha, wagashi , flower arrangement, calligraphy and traditional Japanese attire    integral to its practice.  この授業は茶道と茶室の美学の入門です。映画の鑑賞や茶室の訪問を通して茶道を紹介し、抹茶、和菓子、華道、書道、和装について理解を深めます。

成績評価方法及び採点基準 ／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	Evaluations will be based 100% on students' written submissions. 評価は１００％レポートに基づいて行われます。
予習及び復習等の内容 ／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	Students will be asked to carry out group work to prepare for classes. They will be required to reflect on the content of classes to submit their written work. 予習としてグループワークを行い、授業内容を復習してレポートを提出します。

留意点・予備知識 ／Point to keep in mind, back ground	This course will be taught in Japanese and English. Japanese students and international students are expected to use both languages to the best of their ability in order to communicate with each other to complete groupwork. 指導は日本語と英語で行います。日本人学生と留学生がグループ・ワークを行う際は二つの言語を用いてコミュニケーションを取ります。
