授業としての具体的到達目標 ／Concrete arrival target as the class	The objective of the class is to develop writing skills in English. This implies transition from sentence level writing to paragraph and composition-level writing.
授業の概要 ／Summary of the class	The course presents organization principles and structures for clear and effective writing. These are studied through the textbook. Students then write freely using these structures. The class will be conducted in English. Please self-register through TEAMs.
授業の内容予定 ／Contents plan of the class	The content of course, beyond introduction of the organizational structures, is based on the topics students decide to write about. 成績評価方法及び採点基準 ／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	Grades will be based on evaluations of weekly writing. Students have to prepare and write paragraph-length compositions every week. The contents of these compositions combine the textbook material with student ideas. Weekly writing 70% Final composition 30%
予習及び復習等の内容 ／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	There are weekly writing assignments the students must complete. The theme of these compositions are based on the material of the textbook combined with student ideas.
