授業の概要 /Summary of the class |
Enzymes are catalysts created by living organisms to speed up chemical reactions in nature. Enzymology, which began with the idea that food dissolves in the stomach, has now spread to the fields of biology, pharmacy, medicine, and agriculture based on physics and chemistry. Without knowledge of enzymes, it is difficult to have a deeper understanding of life phenomena and biotechnology. This lecture will focus on enzyme reaction theory and various topics in medicine, food, medicine, and engineering, and will cover basic knowledge at the molecular level, roles in living organisms, and applications to human life and industry. |

At the end of Parts 1, 2, and 3, there will be a summary and review. The answers to these questions will be evaluated as 100%. Details will be explained in class. (Please note that due to circumstances related to coronavirus infection and prevention, the exam may be conducted remotely. In that case, the exam will be conducted using Teams and Forms, but details will be communicated in advance.) .) |

[Preparation] Understand the basics of organic chemistry, the types of amino acids (20 types) and their notation, and the structures of carbohydrates and proteins. Also, knowledge about the glycolytic pathway is very important. Please use the following website for preparation.
