授業の概要／Summary of the class	〇リスニング・スピーキングを中心に、「English Communication A」「English Communication C・D」の学習内容と関連づけながら、総合的な英語力の基礎を身につける。〇様々な文化的背景を持つ人々とコミュニケーションをとるために、国際共通語としての英語を意識して使えるようになる。〇授業で学習したことを踏まえ、生涯にわたって主体的に学習し続ける習慣を身につける。

成績評価方法及び採点基準／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	1. 外部試験の結果：20% 2月1日（土） 2. Participation（Class activities）：30% 3. Examination/Presentation/Paper/Project：25% 4. Assignments/Self-study：25% 上記を合算して，最終的な成績評価を行います。
予習及び復習等の内容／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	Before Class: Familiarize yourself with the contents of the next class based on the schedule above. If there are any questions, please contact the instructor (Dr. Anderson). After Class: Complete all assigned tasks, including in the CambridgeOne digital workbook to reinforce the unit lessons. Please also check TEAMS prior to each class. If pre-recorded lectures are posted please watch and follow instructions for next class. For groupwork, please arrange time with your team to discuss presentations before the due date. More information will be provided in-class. Self-study: Use the resources of the English Lounge (seminars, foreign-student conversation partners, English DVDs) and Library Academic Commons (English DVDs) to practice listening/speaking skills. Consult with English Lounge teachers for additional advice on classwork and English study.

留意点・予備知識／Point to keep in mind, back ground	Attendance, active participation, and self-study outside classroom are very important for language learning. Therefore, keep the following in mind: 1. Students are expected to attend every class. Students must attend 2/3 of all classes in order to pass. 2. Students should not be late to class. 3. Self-study time outside of class is expected to be twice the time spend in the classroom: 180 minutes of self-study for 90 minutes of class. Study systematically.
