授業としての具体的到達目標 ／Concrete arrival target as the class	The ability to explain the pathophysiology of brain disorders in terms of the structure of the central nervous system (gross anatomy, histology) is acquired.
授業の概要 ／Summary of the class	This lecture aims to provide knowledge on the pathological picture (gross, histological and ultrastructural) and pathomechanisms of major neurological diseases such as cerebrovascular diseases, demyelinating diseases, encephalitis, neurodegenerative diseases, dementia, brain tumors, etc.. In addition, recent advances in research on neurodegenerative diseases, the molecular mechanisms of which have been rapidly elucidated in recent years, will be presented. 授業の内容予定 ／Contents plan of the class	First semester Part 1-2: Basic Anatomy of the Cranial Nervous System 1 (Macro) Part 3-4: Basic anatomy of the cranial nervous system 2 (micro) Part 5-6: Pathology of cerebrovascular disorders 1 (cerebral infarction) Part 7-8: Pathology of cerebrovascular disorders 2 (intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage) Part 9-11: Pathology of cerebrovascular disorders 3 (cerebral edema, intracranial hypertension) Part 12: Pathology of demyelinating diseases (multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barre syndrome) Part 13-14: Pathology of encephalitis 1 (bacterial, viral) Part 15: Pathology of encephalitis 2 (prion diseases)
成績評価方法及び採点基準 ／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	Evaluation will be based on questions and answers during the lecture (50 points) and oral examination (50 points).
