授業としての具体的到達目標 ／Concrete arrival target as the class	To develop the ability to introduce the latest literature on the molecular mechanisms of cranial nerve diseases.
授業の概要 ／Summary of the class	The purpose of this exercise is to acquire the knowledge of anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, and molecular genetics necessary to understand the molecular mechanisms of cranial nerve diseases. Specific diseases will then be discussed and a literature review of pathomechanisms will be conducted. In addition, recent topics on neurodegenerative diseases and efforts to treat dementia will be introduced.
授業の内容予定 ／Contents plan of the class	Exercises will include the use of medical articles, the Internet, and other media. 成績評価方法及び採点基準 ／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	Evaluation will be based on questions and answers during exercises (50%) and oral examination (50%). Points will be given for conference presentations (20 points for international conferences, 10 points for domestic conferences). Points will be given for paper presentation (30 points for English, 15 points for Japanese).
