1. Acquire the knowledge and attitude necessary as a member of society to play an active role in the world regardless of country or culture by making use of the advanced specialized knowledge learned at the university. 2. Understand why Japan is moving towards a multicultural society and what problems it is causing in society. 3. In order to become a human resource who can communicate with people from different backgrounds and collaborate toward one purpose, while learning the world situation, we will look at the problems that exist in the immediate area and solve the problems with flexible thinking. Acquire the ability to think and communicate. |
授業の概要 /Summary of the class |
This class focuses on how university students perceive their careers, and in particular on the relationship between Japan's "regional economy" and "diversity." We will have experts and business people give lectures on Aomori Prefecture's economic situation and industrial structure, regional issues, and diversity in the workplace (themes: Aomori Prefecture's economic situation, the impact of hiring foreign workers on regional industries, communication issues within Japanese companies for highly skilled foreign workers, finding employment abroad, and Aomori Prefecture's tourism industry). By listening to these lectures, students will accurately grasp the issues facing regional areas in Japan and consider ways to solve these problems through discussions with others from different cultural backgrounds. |

Week 1 Orientation and self-introduction Week2 【Discussion】About the system of employment in Japan Week3~5 【Group Study】Theme:"The background and current state of multicultural coexistence in Japan," "Issues in Japanese society such as overconcentration in Tokyo, population decline in rural areas, and labor shortages," and "Issues regarding the acceptance of foreign human resources in Japan." This class or special lectures will be provided in Japanese. So, International students required above N2 Japanese proficiency. But if you are interested in the Japanese business style or the career in Japan, N3 students could take(you should do preparation of every class). Takahashi will provide you some English translation or easy Japanese support. The limited number of students in this class is 20 international students and 20 Japanese students. If the number exceeds the capacity, the number will be adjusted by the examination by the instructor in charge. |
