授業としての具体的到達目標 ／Concrete arrival target as the class	1. Read materials and texts related to Japanese culture and life to deepen your understanding of Japan. 2. Acquire intermediate to advanced Japanese vocabulary, grammar, and expression skills, and become a "Japanese language user" who can speak with appropriate language and attitude depending on the situation. 3. Be able to grasp world events, research the topic on one's own, summarize it using appropriate Japanese, express one's opinion in discussions and debates, listen to differing opinions, and discuss logically and constructively.
授業の概要 ／Summary of the class	Students will take up various topics related to Japanese affairs, society, and culture from the textbook, and will research, summarize, and present in group work. Using newspaper worksheets, students will deepen their understanding of Japanese affairs and international affairs, while also acquiring upper-intermediat and advanced-level vocabulary, expressions, and grammar used in newspaper articles. Students will also learn advanced-level Japanese presentation skills.
授業の内容予定 ／Contents plan of the class	1st session: April 16th, orientation 2nd session: April 23rd, the basics of "presentation" in Japanese 3rd session: May 7th, 4th session: May 14th, Unit 8 "Modern culture and pop culture" Explain, introduce, and talk about your favorite Japanese pop culture in an easy-to-understand way 5th session: May 21st, 6th session: May 27th, Unit 13 "Industrial structure and economy" Learn, research, and summarize about Japanese industry and economy, compare with your own country to find problems and think about solutions 7th session: June 4th, 8th session: June 11th, Unit 12 "Education and children" Learn, research, and summarize about the Japanese education system and social issues surrounding children. Reflecting on and researching the education system and issues surrounding children in your own country, Discussion 2 9th June 18th, 10th June 25th Unit 10 "Continuing progress in science and technology" Learn about and research the field of science and technology in Japan, reflecting on, researching, summarizing, and presenting the development of science and technology in your own country 11th July 2nd, 12th July 9th Unit 15 "Aiming for a multicultural society" 13th July 16th, 14th July 23rd Unit 6 "Japanese history you should know" 15th July 30th Summary and review
