授業としての具体的到達目標
/Concrete arrival target as the class
Producing fruits is the most important thing in fruit cultivation, and we know the various organs that make up the tree are constructed by the interaction of various genes. This course mainly aims to help students to understand mainly what has been elucidated in model plants,  and acquire the ability to think about and apply what they have learned to fruit trees, especially apple trees.
授業の概要
/Summary of the class
This is a seminar course in which you read the textbook and summarize your part to give a presentation.
You will deepen your understanding of the genetic control mechanism that governs plant morphogenesis and discuss and explain some of the phenomena that have been elucidated so far regarding gene control mechanism in fruit trees.
授業の内容予定
/Contents plan of the class
Understand the control mechanism of genes by making a presentation and asking questions about the following:

1. Guidance 12/5(Fri)
2. Leaf formation in dicotyledonous plants 12/12(Fri)
3. Genetic framework of flowering control 12/19(Fri)
4. Molecular genetics of floral morphogenesis 12/26(Fri)
5. Differentiation mechanism of male and female flowers in angiosperms 1/9(Fri)
6. Gametophyte and pollen tube guidance-from genetics to development and evolution 1/23(Fri)
7. Differentiation of vascular bundles 1/30(Fri)
8. Conclusion 2/6(Fri)

After each presentation, I will give an explanation of each topic and also an explanation applicable to the fruit trees.
成績評価方法及び採点基準
/A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard
I will comprehensively evaluate students' performance, such as resume preparation (50%), presentation on issues (30%), and questions and answers (20%).
予習及び復習等の内容
/Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review
You will gather rerevant information in advance what you have to present.
You will read each point of the textbook in advance to think of questions you may wish to ask after each presentation.
You should review Pomology that you took at the undergraduate level.
