授業としての具体的到達目標 ／Concrete arrival target as the class	To be able to understand English content in various fields and express opinions in English. To learn about writing styles and appropriate vocabulary with reference to corpus data.
授業の概要 ／Summary of the class	You will improve your general reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammatical knowledge, and writing ability. All classes are conducted in English.
授業の内容予定 ／Contents plan of the class	Classes will involve looking at English texts from a variety of sources: autobiographies, UK parliamentary language, broadcast speech, lifestyle and technology reportage, mission statements, philanthropic-fundraising, computer game instructions, and travel guides. Activities outside of class require reading and researching topics. 成績評価方法及び採点基準 ／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	Class participation 40% Written tasks 60% Grades will be evaluated by totaling the above. There is no final exam. All of your submitted assignments must have been written by you. You must not use generative AI to produce the work that you submit.
予習及び復習等の内容 ／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	Preparation: Students are expected to complete the assigned homework tasks. Especially all written assignments must be submitted.
