授業としての具体的到達目標／Concrete arrival target as the class	1. Read materials and texts related to Japanese culture and life to deepen your understanding of Japan. 2. Acquire intermediate to advanced Japanese vocabulary, grammar, and expression skills, and become a "Japanese language user" who can speak with appropriate language and attitude depending on the situation. 3. Be able to grasp world events, research the topic on one's own, summarize it using appropriate Japanese, express one's opinion in discussions and debates, listen to differing opinions, and discuss logically and constructively.
授業の概要／Summary of the class	Students will take up various topics related to Japanese affairs, society, and culture from the textbook, and will research, summarize, and present in group work. Using newspaper worksheets, students will deepen their understanding of Japanese affairs and international affairs, while also acquiring upper-intermediate and advanced-level vocabulary, expressions, and grammar used in newspaper articles. Students will also learn advanced-level Japanese presentation skills.
授業の内容予定／Contents plan of the class	1st session: October 8th Orientation 2nd and 3rd sessions: October 15th and 22nd Unit 1: "What kind of country is Japan?" Learn about, research, summarize, and present about geography, climate, and customs (repeated) 4th and 5th sessions: October 29th and November 12th Unit 2: "Living in the city and living in the countryside" 6th, 7th, and 8th sessions: November 19th to December 3rd Unit 4: "Itadakimasu" - About Japanese food culture 9th, 10th, 11th: December 10th to December 24th Unit 5: "Annual events to enjoy the seasons" About Japanese annual events and religious views 12th and 13th: January 7th and January 14th Unit 6: "Japanese history you should know" About Japanese history 14th and 15th: January 21st and January 28th Groups decide on a presentation topic, conduct research, create slides, and present in class
成績評価方法及び採点基準／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	授業参加度10％　提出・発表40％　最終レポート50％ Class participation 10% Submission/presentation 40% Final report 50%
予習及び復習等の内容／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	Make a conscious effort to regularly obtain knowledge about Japanese society and international situations through online news, television, etc.
