授業としての具体的到達目標 ／Concrete arrival target as the class	○花卉園芸植物に求められる特性その資源利用や開発に関する基礎的な概念を理解する（ＤＰ１、ＤＰ3） ○花卉資源開発における実際の取り組みや関連する事柄について理解し、今後の課題について考える（ＤＰ2） ・To understand the features required for floricultural plant resources and the basic concepts related to their utilization and development. ・To gain some hands-on experience and related practice of flower resource development.
授業の概要 ／Summary of the class	今日、非常に多数の様々な植物が観賞用として利用されており、その数は食用作物の数十～数百倍におよぶ。そして現在もなお新たな種の導入、新品種育成の取り組みが続けられている。近年の新花卉導入・開発の過程では、現存する植物資源を将来にわたって「保ちつつ利用する（＝conservation）」考え方も必要不可欠とされている。本講義では、新規花卉の導入利用（育種による新品種開発も含む）のための基礎的知識・概念を理解し、花卉資源開発の現状とその周辺のトピックスを概説する。また本講義内では関連する実験や観察も併せて行う。 At present, a vast number of different plants are used for ornamental purposes, which are several tens to several hundred times as many as food crops. Until now, efforts to introduce new species and cultivate new varieties have been continued. In the process of introducing and developing new floriculrural plant resources in recent years, the concept of susutainable use “conservation” has also been indispensable. In this course, students will understand the basic knowledge and concepts which are necessary when introducing and using new floriculrural plant resources (including new varieties produced by breeding).I also outline the current status of floriculrural plant resources development and surrounding topics.

成績評価方法及び採点基準 ／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	平常評価（授業への参加度、取り組み態度）：60 期末評価（期末レポート）：40 生成AI 利用：補助的利用のみ可(どの部分でどのように利用したかを明示するようにしてください) Students have to prepare a report on a specified issue and present it within the lecture time. A comprehensive and continuous evaluation will also be made of active participation and positive attitudes in class.
予習及び復習等の内容 ／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	事前および授業終了時に示す課題についてレポートを作成すること。 Students who have taken the undergraduate course “Floriculture” should review its content.
教材・教科書 ／The teaching materials, textbook	教科書は使用しません。 適宜講義の中で関連する資料を配布します。 講義内容に関係する観察や実験・調査も行います。 Relevant materials will be distributed in the lecture as needed.

留意点・予備知識 ／Point to keep in mind, back ground	学部講義「花卉園芸学」履修者はその内容を復習しておくことが望ましい。 学内温室など屋外での講義も予定します。 Lectures will also be held outdoors, such as in on-campus greenhouses and farm fields.
