授業としての具体的到達目標 ／Concrete arrival target as the class	◯普段あまり触れることのない土壌性の生物について知識を深め、環境評価の指標生物としての価値や研究対象としての面白さを理解し、具体的な調査・評価方法を実践を通して習得することを目標とする（見通す力／解決していく力）。 The goals of this practice are 1) learning the basic soil biology, 2) realising the biodiversity in soil and forests, and 3) understanding the methodologies for soil science and statistical comparisons.
授業の概要 ／Summary of the class	森林や草原などの陸域生態系の環境評価を行う上で、土壌動物は非常に優れた対象であると言える。本実習では土壌動物や土壌環境の定量的な調査・評価の方法を学び、2日間に渡って実践する。 Soil organisms are the excellent materials to evaluate the environments in terrestrial ecosystems. In this practice, we learn about the basic methodology to measure the soil environments and to quantify the soil organisms.
授業の内容予定 ／Contents plan of the class	2日間の集中講義形式で行う。開講日は受講生と相談して後日決定する（9月後半〜10月の予定）。 第1回：土壌動物学の講義 第2回：野外観察の方法論 第3回：森林や植生の観察 第4回：森林の土壌環境の測定 第5回：土壌動物の定量調査 第6回：土壌動物のソーティングと種同定 第7回：環境間での統計比較 第8回：調査結果に対する議論と発表 This course will be held as a two-days intensive program between September to October. 1. Lecture for soil biology 2. Methodology for field science 3. Field observations 4. Measurements of soil environments 5. Quadrat survey of soil organisms 6. Sorting and species identification 7. Statistical analyses 8. Discussion and presentations
成績評価方法及び採点基準 ／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	実習内容についてまとめたレポート（50%）および受講態度（50%）に基づき評価する。生成AIの利用は不可とする。 Grades are evaluated by reports (50%) and activity and performance in the class (50%). AI is prohibited in report assignments.
予習及び復習等の内容 ／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	実習前に紹介する参考文献を読み、予習しておくこと。実習後には内容を見直して復習すること。レポートの作成は実習後に各自行い提出すること。予習・復習15時間。 Participants had better to read the introduced references before and after the class.
教材・教科書 ／The teaching materials, textbook	必要に応じて資料を配布する。 Handouts will be distributed in the class.
