授業としての具体的到達目標／Concrete arrival target as the class	・イギリス小説を読むことを通して、英語で書かれた文章を正確に読む力を身に着けること・英語運用能力を高めるとともに、作品が書かれた時代の社会的・文化的背景を理解すること
授業の概要／Summary of the class	20世紀以降のイギリス文学を講読し、イギリス小説の作品舞台となる場所の地域特性を理解する・様々なテクストについて比較考察しながら、イギリス社会の変容をたどっていく・ただ単に作品や資料の文字を追うだけなく、自分の視点から作品を読み解き、議論を通して理解を深める

成績評価方法及び採点基準／A scholastic evaluation method and marking standard	平常点(20%)、授業での口頭発表（40%）、レポート（40%）によって評価する。対面での試験が実施できない場合、口頭発表はTeamsを用いて行います。配点は対面の場合と同じです。
予習及び復習等の内容／Contents such as preparations for lessons and the review	予習：テクストの精読。疑問点・着眼点を整理しておく復習：授業時に習得した知識や新しい視点についてまとめる。授業時に紹介した文献等検索し、読む
教材・教科書／The teaching materials, textbook	初回授業時に指示します。
参考文献／bibliography	A Companion to the British and Irish novel, 1945-2000. Ed. by Brian W. Shaffer, Blackwell , 2005 そのほか、配布する資料などを含め、授業時に適宜示す
